Shiny big pics, to clear the clouds away

Not literal clouds today, but just not a fun day. Here are some pretty pictures to make me forget.

Hi, Jeni!

Cool! Thank you for the pics.

Hey, we had sunshine in N. CA today.

I'll see what I can do to send some of it down south to you! :)

And if you're talking about "work clouds" -- document, document, document. I learned (the hard way of course) that when you're working on something that you've got that "feeling" about -- document what you were told to do and by whom, and also document WHAT you provided by e-mail, memo, etc., as your contribution/evaluation etc.

When I worked at a local hospital here, I assisted in the new directory for pediatric specialists. The project kept getting delayed and delayed (due to in-house political nattering more than anything else) and finally we were told we had to publish by such and such date or else.

While proofing (after about the 97th revision due to the political nattering), I noticed that the Pediatric Neurologic Surgeons had been deleted. I notified my boss, and the marketing manager, by telephone voice mail and e-mail, to advise them of the error. (We all worked in different buildings in various parts of the city.)

They apparently never listened to my voice mail or read my e-mail, because the directory was published incorrectly -- and boy oh boy, did the you know what hit the fan.

Of course the marketing manage tried to blame me...until I politely sent her copies of the TWO e-mails I sent her previously warning of the error.

We had to reprint the directory again and mail them out again. EXPENSIVE project that was.

Thank you again (as usual!) for such lovely BIG pics!!

I'm with Morjana - get it all in writing!! We have similar incompetence in upper management. I had a 15 month battle to upgrade my (past its use-by date) computer. After two changes of administrator, a LOT of arguing by phone and email, and even some crying jags & threats of walking out on stress leave, they FINALLY came through with teh goods. But yeah, they will palm off all any any mistakes and take ALL the credit if it goes well. I wish I could say that I had faith in management, but I don't. Too many 'bum-sniffers' make it to the top. To the detriment of many. Such is life...*rolls eyes*

Nggh!

Uh, that was my reaction to the pics... I love John and Rodney to pieces, throwing in a bit of Carson with big blue eyes in surprise!

Can't wait for the next ep.

Thanks for sharing! :D

Hava good one ;)

I warned a lot of people about the trailer b/c it sounds like it spoils too much. Thanks for the heads up since I do like to sneak a peek at the longer trailers, but I know the "Midway" one spoiled me way more then I wanted and I'm trying to keep away from too much info on "The Last Man" so thank you!!

How is it that JF/John manages to look like a twelve year old boy even holding a gun?
However, I must say I do like the new wardrobe.

Sorry you're having a craptastic day. Thank you for the pictures though.
*hugs*

Again, I do hope things turn for the better; it IS hard when the workplace becomes more stressful than enjoyable. My thoughts are with you, Jeni dear!

And as others have said...thanks again for the lovely pics. :) Ahh, so good to see Paul M. back! They never should've killed Carson off...*tsks*. :D Hope today (28th) is a better day!

Hi Jeni,

thanks for the pictures, they lightened me up and made me smile.

I hope the rest of your day gets better.

Thanks for all the nice pictures and info you post about your work. It is really interesting to read it and get a small look at the work behind the scenes.

With Best Regards from germany (bad weather here too at the moment),

Oh the weather in Iowa is... Yeah well bad!

I love the pictures you post! They are a good break as I sit here writting scripts for a Castel server all day.

I must remember to type in that word verification thing....

But, great pictures. We're all loving 'em :)

And as I'm a day late, I hope today will be better than yesterday.

Sorry you're having a cloudy day. The pics are fantastic, thanks so much for posting them! They definitely brightened my own partly cloudy day (though, to be fair to Texas, the weather outside is beautiful today). :)

The pix of John and Rodney is really good. Is that from the 2nd part of
the episode where Teyla tries to
find her family and is culled by the Wraith and Carson suddenly turns up?
I would love to see more episodes similar to Conversion where there is intense scrutiny of Sheppard, but
happy to see him wherever.
Thanks!!

Yep that's when that photo was from Rosalee. I agree about Shep centric stories, but I love the team as a whole, they have great chemistry!
